Computer Recycling and Donation Program

In an effort to keep computer waste out of landfills the Iowa Lakes RC&D has a program to recycle used computers.  Computers can be delivered to our Spencer warehouse.  If the computers are at least a Pentium II or greater there is no charge for the CPU.  These Pentium IIs and greater are then refurbished for donation to non-profits or resale for a very reasonable price.  The computer sales help the RC&D board subsidize the recycling program.

Charges for Recycling Your old Computers:

• Monitors                                     $15
• CPU (with mouse & keyboard)         $ 5
• Deskjet type Printers, Scanners      $ 2
• Miscellaneous small components      $ 5 (per 12”W x 17”L x 8”H size box of components)

 Prices of refurbished computers for sale: 

·       Pentium II            $40

·       Pentium III           $60

(includes monitor, keyboard and mouse)
