Buena Vista County Projects

Sioux Rapids, Theatre, c.1945: Wrote a Buena Vista County Community Foundation Grant for $5,000.00 which paid for part of the costs associated with a new roof.

Storm Lake, Depot, 1914: Currently working with the Depot Restoration Committee as a liaison between the Canadian National Railroad, building movers, and the community to move the depot from it's current location to a lot across the street.

The depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It was built in 1914 by the Illinois Central Railroad.  It was designed by architect E.E. Bihl.  The depot has Prairie School as well as Tudor Revival architectural elements.  Photo taken 2007.
